 Principal ~ Christine Smith (Bubs, Toddlers, Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Roller-Skating Jazz, Cheerleading, Zumba®, Drama, Performance) Christine obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Graduate Diploma of Education in Dance and PDHPE from the University of Western Sydney. She has been teaching Dance and PDHPE at Blaxland High School for the past 14 years, including HSC Dance. She is a Practicum Supervisor for UWS Nepean and the Australian College of Physical Education, and has been a HSC Dance marker in both practical and written examinations for the Board of Studies. Christine is a qualified Active-After-School Coach for the Australian Sports Commission; currently holds a 3th Kyu (brown belt) in GKR Karate and gained a gold medal at the Young Guns Karate Tournament in 2008. She has recently completed her Masters in Education (Leadership) at the University of Western Sydney. Emma Lamont (Contemporary, Ballet/Lyrical, Jazz/Funk) Emma graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a BA in Dance and PDHPE in 2004, and has been teaching at Jamison High School since 2005. Her choreographic credits include various school musical productions and performance nights, the Western Sydney Region Drama/Dance camps, Sydney West Dance Festival and Blue Mountains Dance Festival. She has also performed in many Blue Mountains Musical Society productions including 'Cinderella' and 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. She has been dancing since the age of 5. 
Lara Saunders - finalist for Employee Excellence - Penrith Business Awards, 2010 (Jazz, Funk, Tap, Hip Hop, Zumba®) Lara has been dancing since the age of 3 across a wide variety of styles including physical culture, jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, salsa, irish and musical theatre. She has been involved in various musicals through Blaxland High School such as '42nd Street', 'Fame' & 'Back to the 80’s'; and the Blue Mountains Musical Society such as 'Brigadoon' and 'Paint Your Wagon'. She thoroughly enjoys performing, and with a strong passion for dance she is looking forward to sharing this passion with others. Lara completed a social science degree at UWS and is now a qualified primary school teacher. 
Kathy Gaul (Contemporary, Ballet/Lyrical, Jazz/Funk, Tap) Kathy has almost 20 years dance/drama teaching experience and has directed, produced and choreographed fashion parades, cabaret and musical theatre productions.
Qualifications include Bachelor of Arts- Theatre (UNE), Certificate in Dance Teaching (QUT) and Diploma of Modeling and Deportment (MMA). She is trained in RAD Ballet and LGTDA Tap as well as commercial jazz, contemporary, acrobatics, theatrical bellydance, burlesque, African spiritual and Bollywood styles.
Former students have been accepted to full time courses internationally and have performed in professional companies and productions, including reaching the top 100 in So You Think You Can Dance (season 1).

Emma Joseph (Jazz/Funk, Hip Hop) Emma has been dancing since the age of 7. She has trained in a number of different styles including Hip Hop, Salsa, Jazz & Contemporary. She recieved honors in Level 6 Jazz exam, completed HSC Dance, and was cast in three different musicals during her school years. Emma has a real passion for choreographing, teaching and performing. She recently finished a certificate 4 in Performing Arts at Urban Dance Centre in Sydney majoring in dance. Urban Dance Centre specialise in Hip Hop which is Emma's main passion, however the certificate covers all styles of dance including singing and acting. 
Tayla Jarrett (Singing/Music, Ballet, Drama) Tayla has had 11 years of singing lessons and experience. She has completed the AMEB CPM vocal syllabus with Honours, and has completed up to grade 4 AMEB in piano. In addition to her singing and musical talents, she has also completed up to grade 5 jazz (honours with distinction) for BAL syllabus. Tayla's recent major achievements include being chosen as a featured artist for the 2008 and 2009 Schools Spectacular and for the 2009 Youth Olympics Festival; female vocalist for the PULSE China tour 2009, and gaining 1st place in the National Drama Eisteddfod Opens 2009. She has been involved in a number of musicals with the Blue Mountains Musical Society including playing Eponine in 'Les Miserables' and Ursula in 'Bye Bye Birdie'. In addition she has been involved in Blaxland High school musicals playing Laurie in ‘Oklahoma’, Sandy in ‘Grease’ and later this year Lucy in ‘Jekyll and Hyde’.  Michelle Robinson (Toddler Jazz)
Michelle has been a senior student with Fusion Movement Studio for the past two years training in Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Cheerleading and Senior Performance Group.
She has performed at a number of festivals and special events such as the Global Lounge Benefit Concert, the Queensland Flood Appeal Spectacular, Relay for Life, and Leonay and Nepean Carols.
She has now begun her teacher-training at Fusion and has been an outstanding role model for her students in one of our Squirts Make Me Groove classes.

Steve Smith (Circuit Training, Personal Training) Steve has been involved in the fitness industry for the past 22 years, combining core strength, cardiovascular fitness and muscle toning into his circuit training classes. In 1997 he won the Mr NSW Natural Body Building title, and was a finalist in Mr Australia in the same year. A professional firefighter, steve is passionate about teaching people the benefits of physical fitness and nutrition. Steve brings his experience to Fusion in one on one or small group circuit classes which focus on improving core strength, cardiovascular fitness, muscle tone, weight loss and/or muscle gain without the need for large gym equipment. You can book a session with Steve at your own convenience, and can do as many classes per week as you like. Circuit classes are not limited to the studio, but can also be conducted outside as well so you can appreciate the beauty of nature while you work out. 
Sensei David Green (Karate) Sensei David will be instructing the Sunday class and has been teaching GKR karate for over 10 years in Sydney region 2 covering Blaxland. Having trained in other martial arts he finds this style both effective and easy to pickup. Being an instructor gives him the opportunity to teach and help others achieve their personnel goals, and watch them grow in confidence and ability. It is good for co-ordination and fitness and is suitable for all age groups. The mental discipline of martial arts has many benefits that flow through to your normal life.
